This final report of the Pew Commission on Children in Foster Care includes its recommendations concerning federally funding subsidized guardianships as another permanency option for children for whom reunification with parents or adoption is not viable (2004).

On February 4, 2019, the Children’s Bureau released final National Model Foster Family Home Licensing Standards (National Model), as required by the Family First Prevention Services Act.
